Healing begins with feeling safe. Relationships make that possible.

For almost thirty years, I have had the privilege of working alongside children, young people and families through some of life's most challenging moments. One thing has become clear to me time and time again: healing doesn't begin with techniques or programmes—it begins with feeling safe enough to be truly seen.

Whether a child is living with anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, attachment difficulties or overwhelming emotions, lasting change happens through connection. My role is to create a calm, accepting therapeutic relationship where children can begin to understand themselves, regulate their nervous system and rediscover confidence in who they are.

Relationships shape the way we experience the world. They influence how safe we feel, how we respond to stress, and how we see ourselves. Whether it's the relationship between parent and child, teacher and student, siblings, friends—or even the relationship we have with ourselves—these connections have the power to heal.

My work is about strengthening those relationships so that children and families don't just cope—they begin to thrive.

A unique approach

My approach combines evidence-based therapeutic practice with a deep understanding of the nervous system, attachment and emotional development.

Alongside counselling and play therapy, I integrate approaches such as the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), creative therapies, sensory regulation and parent coaching where appropriate. Every child is different, which is why therapy is never "one size fits all". Together we create a pathway that is as unique as the child sitting in front of me.

A little about me

People often tell me that I speak "fluent child."

Children naturally communicate through play, creativity, movement and curiosity, and I genuinely love entering their world. Whether we're exploring emotions through clay, storytelling, art, games or simply sitting quietly together, my aim is always the same—to help each child feel safe enough to be themselves.

Over the years I've worked with children from many different backgrounds, including those who have experienced trauma, neurodivergence, anxiety, school difficulties, adoption, fostering and attachment challenges. Every child has their own story, and I believe every child deserves an approach that honours who they are rather than trying to fit them into a mould.

I also believe healing involves more than simply managing symptoms. By supporting the nervous system, strengthening relationships and building emotional resilience, we create the conditions for lasting change—not just for children, but for the whole family.

Above all, I want every child and family who walks through my door to leave believing something different about themselves.

That they are not broken.

That their nervous system makes sense.

That healing is possible.

And that they don't have to find their way alone.
